Help Arin Jahn to fight for Leukemia
Organized by: tina leatherman
This campaign is for my neighbour arin who was born on October 6, 2015. Sadly though, little Arin isn't well. Arin's troubles were spotted by physicians right away and less than 36 hours later, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or AML. As the family learned in talks with specialists later, AML is a common form of leukemia in adults, but is very rare in newborns (some studies say AML in newborns occurs in around 5 births per million). The leukemia has resulted in other serious problems for Arin; he has some bleeding on his brain, the expected counts of cells in his blood are off, his liver is ennlarged, and his little body has extensive bruising. Arin is being well cared for at the Level 4 NICU of Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital in Denver, CO. Danielle is recovering well from her c-section and both she and Eric are staying strong and maintaining a positive outlook. Arin and family are facing a tough road ahead. This includes a minimum of 6 months of chemotherapy, to begin as soon as possible, potential bone marrow transplants, ICU hospitalization, and other trial treatments. Arin will be hospitized for the entirety of this treatment. Past three months Arin families are trying there best. They sold there house and took loan. They are doing all they can but none of us were prepared for something like this. Even remotely. That's why I advised them to starting this Crowdrise campaign. They told me to running this campaign to support and eventually take Arin home with them. We aren't sure what this will cost, or if existing insurance will cover all, part or none of it, but continue treatment, remove debt and live in house they need 60k dollar. We're asking for your help now specifically to help fund: • Medical services & devices for Arin • Support for Arins family to remove debt and living expenses I would like to start a fundraising campaign to help raise money for Arins parents, so that they don't have to feel such financial strain as they are sacrificing their time and income for Arins disease. You can forward this page via email, post or share it on your Facebook page, or just share my story with those you know. I whole-heartedly appreciate all of your help and support, in making this drive a success.Thank you for all of your support!
