help a veteran start a company
Organized by: Jason Frost
My Name is Jason and i am looking for funding to help pay for legal fees and equipment to start a company that would use technology and social media to help reduce the cost of water for people living in home owners associations, condominiums, apartments and small business located in strip malls as well as other master planned communities. My business will use technology that is already on the market to be able to provide up to date accurate water meter readings and easy to use billing options to allow people to keep up with their usage. there is currently equipment on the market that can detect water leaks within 72 hours, keeps data of usage times and provide easy to read and understand information to the property owner. the equipment is able to drive conservation efforts and reduce water usage through the heightened awareness that individuals will receive with the equipment installed. this awareness is accomplished through accurately billing the individual units and then reimbursing the property manager ( or board ) who pays the water bill for the property. In this time of severe drought this business model is not only limited to the estimated 60 million people who live in the home owners associations, condominiums and other master planned communities as well but is able to be marketed towards larger water districts and communities that are using well water for residents. with out some way of measuring the amount of water coming out of the ground there is no way of knowing for sure how much is being used. these items could also be marketed very effectively to farmers who live in drought areas that water their fields from water wells. the purpose of this fundraising campaign is to raise money for the legal fees associated with starting a business as well as registration fees associated with starting a business, the rest of the funds will go to buying equipment needed to be able to run and maintain a small business on line and to create a businesses logo.
