THE STORY:

Montana on a Mission has been helping impoverished barrios in Bohol for 15 years. We are now face with a massive challenge that can only be impacted by working hand in hand, organization with organization. We have surveyed the Bohol Earthquake crisis and have concluded that the inputs of food, medicine, water and infrastructure are being met effectively by larger multi-national and national relief organization. We are focused on "transitional housing" providing safe haven quickly that will provide a home for several years made from coconut wood, woven bamboo (amakan) and g.i. roofing. We have begun production of pre-fab panels that assembled in less than 2 hrs at family home sites. We need to expand exponentially by mechanized with the additional of pneumatic tools and guiding other groups/organizations into producing/distributing their own "transitional homes" We also, Montana on a Mission and International Deaf Education Association both in Bohol would value donations specifically and restrictively for materials to build these homes. Within several years families will re-build permanent homes with the financial support of national, local government agencies, multi-nationals, faithbased etc. We have been producing a permanent home in properly mixed hollow block, aluminum "C" channel students and roofing structure, g.i. roofing, concrete floors - in cooperation with One4One. If your business, your church, school, relief organization would like to discuss this more please give me a call while I am in the states: Denny Freed, Board Member, MOM 406-932-6312
