The Fair Housing Act is for those who can follow the rules, the Fair Housing Center is for those who can't.
Hello friends! It's that time of year again... I'm about to turn one year older on November 19th. My wish this year is to have my friends and family celebrate my birthday by donating to the FHC (where I work, as you've probably heard) in lieu of gifts. This year my goal is $5,400 for my 54th birthday. I am going to use the remainder of November to work towards this goal.
The Fair Housing Center of Southeastern Michigan actively works to investigate complaints of illegal housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, familial status, marital status, age, condition of pregnancy, source of income, family responsibilities, educational association, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, HIV status, and political orientation.
The mission of the Fair Housing Center is to end discrimination in housing and public accommodations and to promote accessible, integrated communities.
I hope you will consider giving a gift to me by giving a gift to my work. $54.00 for my 54th would be wonderful, but any amount makes a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
