BENEFITING: ADKHIGHPEAKS FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Mar 01, 2014
For several years now, the Adirondacks High Peak Foundations has put on a fundraiser in which they attempt to get someone on the top of each of the Adirondack High Peaks in one day. The foundation raises money for a number of worthy causes including the summit steward program, fire-tower rescue and purchasing equipment for search and rescue operations.
This year I've pledged to climb South Dix (AKA Carson Peak) a remote mountain in the trail-less Dix Range. It's a challenging peak but in a place I love very much and have spent some time.
Since Koda isn't really chipping on for this event, I figured I'd ask for some help from my friends and family for this event! The 2013 gathering (and the pictures taken from all 46 summits) was featured in Adirondack Life Magazine! Maybe Koda and I will be in this year!
