Help Class 405 Reach for the Stars
Organized by: Jamie Bernstein
I am a 4th grade special education teacher at a Title I school in the Bronx, NY. Last year, with all of your support, I was able to raise close to $2,000 that I used to further my students learning outside of the classroom. As a class, my students were able to explore all that New York City has to offer by going on incredible field trips. I was able to take my class to museums, educational movies, and the zoo. We went to the Botanical Gardens where we dug for decomposers and the New York Hall of Science where we built electrical circuits for an entire cardboard city. These experiences broadened my students perspectives, and allowed them to discover life outside of their neighborhood. I hope to give my students this year the same opportunity to learn about the world around them. My students have a large range of learning styles, and along with going on great field trips, I plan to use this money to buy more supplies for my classroom in order to meet my students' individual needs. Please help us reach for the stars!
