BENEFITING: Pulmonary Hypertension Association Inc
Greetings All!!! The time has come again to bring awareness to a great cause! LSU School of Nursing Alumni Association will be putting on the 2nd Annual Mudbug March to Stomp Out Pulmonary Hypertension in memory of Chelsea Umbach Yates. For those of you who don't know, Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of your heart. PH is a serious illness that becomes progressively worse and is sometimes fatal. Although pulmonary hypertension isn't curable, treatments are available that can help lessen symptoms and improve your quality of life. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension and to educate patients on the importance of taking care of themselves. This is a cause that I support wholeheartedly. For that reason, I'm donating $100 of my own money for the cause! Please join the LSU SON Alumni Association and Myself in our efforts to bring awareness! Sign up OR donate whatever your heart see fits!! Lets STOMP out Pulmonary Hypertension TOGETHER!
