On October 6, my mother Debbie faced a tragedy. Mysteriously, her car caught on fire in the garage of the home she was renting, destroying her car and making her home unlivable. It burned photos, her washer and dryer, lawnmower and many more unreplacable things. We're still not sure why the car caught on fire, but she's now left with no car and no place to live.
My hope is to get your help to raise money to get her a new car and move her into an apartment. She works a full time job at the local casino, but it pays little to nothing and doesn't let her save money, nonetheless buy a new car. She did have car insurance, but no renters insurance. She'll get money for her car, but we're not expecting much for her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Anything you can do to help is appreciated, even if it's just $5. We're not trying to get her Cadillac, just something reliable so she can keep her job.
