Help Diesel Fight Cancer
Organized by: Courtney Davidson
Diesel and I have been together since he was seven weeks old. For those of you who know me, you know he is a huge part of my life and I can't even begin to imagine life without him (I am sure the endless Facebook and Instagram posts of him are getting old :) He means so much that I purchased a home for him in 2010 when no one would rent to us because of his breed. He is a super rad pup that LOVES tennis balls and is overly loved by myself and his little sister Ony. Diesel turned 8 years old May 11 and on April 28th he decided to celebrate his upcoming birthday by eating trash (which I always blamed on Ony). Diesel got sick from the trash and was coughing and hacking and had to be taken to the vet where they discovered and area in his lungs that they assumed was aspiration pneumonia. A month later his cough had not gone away and he returned to the vet who referred him a specialist and they confirmed it was a cancerous tumor on his left lung. Diesel has already incurred over $2000 in vet bills and there are more to come. Unfortunately, I did not plan for something like this and have already gone through my savings. I hate to ask, but I am desperate to find help to continue giving Diesel the treatments he needs. He next appointment ($1,500) is Monday, June 15 and they will be doing a CT Scan to determine if and how much the cancer has spread.
