My name is Erin Bogart and I am a social work student at the University of Central Florida. I am 7 weeks away from graduating with my Masters Degree but am in financial trouble. My college loan for the semester is long gone due to the medical expenses I have accrued from my Ulcerative Colitis and Fibromyalgia. I do not have enough money to pay my rent, buy food, or pay for my medications. My parents unfortunately are not in a financial position to help. I work as an unpaid intern at an inpatient rehab where I am a therapist to those with mental health and substance abuse issues. I have sold some of my clothes and jewelry to come up with money for gas and food, but I do not have enough to get me through to graduation day. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for cash assistance, or TANF, as I do not have any children.
In 7 weeks I will be moving to Vero Beach, FL to stay with my mother until I find long term employment. I need the funds to live and go to my internship in order to finish school and to get home to Vero Beach. It is my dream to be a social worker, but without the funds, I may have to drop out just weeks before graduation. Please, help in whatever way you can. I promise to pay it forward by being the world's best social worker!
