Help Fallen Meet the Disney Princesses
Organized by: Marissa Tucker
Meet Fallen Star she is 8 years old. Two and a half years ago she was diagnosed with Cone-Rod Dystrophy an degenerative eye disease. When she was diagnosed her vision was at 20/50, perfect vision is 20/20. Over the next 2 years her vision did get much worse. In September 2015 her vision was at 20/70 in both eyes. As the next couple months went by we notice the she was having a lot more difficulty getting around and see things that she used to not have and trouble seeing. On December 14, 2015 we had her eyes check again and her vision decreased significantly to 20/400! She also has no peripheral vision. Doctors are anticipating she will be 100% Blind by the age of 12. The is currently no cure for Cone-Rod Dystrophy Fallen has one dream and one dream only that she wants do before she can no longer see. Just like any other 8 year old girl she wants to go to Disney to meet the princesses while she can still see. We are not asking for anyone to fund our family vacy by any means. Just some help getting Fallen there before she can no longer see. My husband and I both work full time, him as a instrument man at a local surveying company. I am myself am a self employed dog groomer and a full time student studying medical coding/billing. We have 4 beautiful daughters between the two of us (ages 5, 8, 10, & 12). A trip to Disney for our family is going to cost an outrageous amount of money and unfortunately we don't have much time to save up for a trip due to how fast her vision is decreasing. Although taxes will be here soon so that puts us a little closer still will not have enough for the trip. If you could donate even if its just a dollar to help the little dream come true it will be greatly appreciated. Every penny and every share makes a difference. Thanks in advance. Stay tuned for updates and fundraising events.
