Help Feegs With His Kidney Transplant
Organized by: Aaron Jones
UPDATE: based on further feedback and updates from the support organizations and insurance providers, we feel that the proper target is better than initially thought. Therefore, we feel we should reduce the overall need to 20k to ensure we are covering right at where we think James and the potential Donor will need to cover this unforeseen situation.
My Good Friend James Feger needs our help.
James a.k.a "FEEGS" Feger was diagnosed with IGA Nephritis (kidney disease) in 2012. It was a fluke, really. By chance. An act of God. We had a health fair at work and they kept bugging him to attend. Finally, he did. They did all of the normal stuff: weight, blood pressure, blood draw. Then a few days later he and his wife received the call. They told them that James was sick. Very sick. James was advised to see his Doctor ASAP. After several blood tests and a kidney biopsy later, James learned that he had only about 30% kidney function left. It is hard to know for sure, but sometime in his 20’s – early 30’s, something attacked his kidneys. The kidneys don’t repair themselves. They don’t magically get better.
James's Journey now began with quarterly blood tests and Nephrologist appointments. James was told he could live forever on that 30% and that may never have to do dialysis or think of the Kidney transplant list. When James got sick like a cold or common illness, he would have to get extra tests to make sure he was still okay. But as I know James, he was strong and did it and so it just became part of his schedule.
Thanksgiving 2014 is a time of joy but a time in which James became very challenged with the condition he has been managing since first diagnosed. James caught a cold and felt a little under the weather for a few days. It was just enough that his IGA Nephritis condition would awaken to a bigger problem. James went to the Doctor for several blood draws waiting for the results to determine if his levels would be at a controlled and managable state, but they weren't. James got the call from his doctor on Christmas Eve while visiting family in Illinois that he needed to return to Colorado immediately. The result was that James was in Renal (Kidney) failure and that he will need a Kidney Transplant.
I have created this fundraiser to help James, and potentially a donor (not known as this time) with expenses in which insurance does not cover. James is a strong family man, husband to wife Meagan and father to his 2 beautiful daughters Abby and Hannah. It is hard to find really good guys like James in this world today, they are few far and between. Let's help out the goods guys this time if we can, please..

Please help me in supporting this donation for James to get through this bump in the road and on the path to recovery so that all of us that truly know James, can see the "Pep in his Step" again.
ALL UNUSED DONATIONS FOR JAMES WILL BE DONATED TO "NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION" for others who are challenged with the extreme costs associatied with Kidney Transplants and the post care medications and costs that come with them.
Thanks and Sincerely,
Aaron and Tasha Jones
