BENEFITING: JUNA AMAGARA MINISTRIES
We are still working to complete construction of the New-Times Primary School in Kishanje Village, Uganda E. Africa, now about 50% complete. The goal is to give kids a new school by start of term February, 2014, a Happy New Year for more than 350 children. This building will replace old, dark, crumbling spaces in use today. Even in poor facilities, the kids in this remote, subsistence-farmer community feel lucky to be in school They test into the 90th percentile nationally.
New facilities will allow education space for more than 500 kids and dormitory space for more than 60 kids. Education is the key to future prospertiy in this community. Kids are bright and eager to learn.
Construction of this school benefits the entire community. Local people are making the bricks, doing the labor, providing food for workers. Kids who have come up through the schools are coming back to be teachers. This project is worth it on many, many levels.
