Help for Dory Silva
Organized by: Ronna Quintos
On June 27, Dory Silva was in a terrible accident and hit her head, requiring emergency brain surgery.
Please help us raise funds for Dory's medical bills. Her condition remained critical for the first 1.5 weeks when she had to be monitored closely in ICU. Thankfully, she has now regained her consciousness and is recovering in a faster pace than expected. She has been following instructions consistently through minimal body movements and simple gestures. While she is now free from the critical stage, she is still expected to embark on a long road to recovery and rehabilitation. Medical costs are estimated to reach 1.5-2M pesos (~$46,000) and health insurance will only be able to cover max of P400,000 (~$9,195). Any financial assistance will be very much appreciated.
Dory is the middle child in a family of five from Pangasinan province. She has moved to Manila for quite a while now to earn a living and she regularly sends money to her parents back home. Since most of her siblings have their own families already, she is the one supporting her aging parents. Apart from this, she is paying for a monthly loan for the house that she was able to put up for them in the province. She is indeed a very loving and responsible daughter. She is a dreamer and her personal goals are all aimed at her family.
Dory is known for being good-natured, humble and selfless. She enjoys simple things and pleasures in life and upholds a positive outlook. Although she is physically fragile given her petite frame, this is being outweighed by her strong fighting spirit. Her will, inner strength and faith in God always keep her going.
At work, Dory is very hardworking and dedicated. She is always eager to learn new technologies, applications and functionalities and is always up for challenges. Her drive and passion for work is admirable, and her amiable and approachable personality has helped her establish good working relationship with her offshore and onshore teams.
Thank you. Let’s all pray for Dory’s full and fast recovery.
