Help for Dylan
Organized by: Irais Lechuga
As many of you probably know, Dylan was diagnosed with Autism last summer. It has been hard for him and all of us. He often has many meltdowns where he often self harms, is aggressive towards his brother Aidan and has a hard time coping with many everyday things. He has very limited speech even though school and therapies have helped him a lot. Being in public is also very hard for him and the street poses a danger for him as he likes to run in the street and is not aware of danger. Going to a gathering where there're a lot of people is also hard for him as he feels overwhelmed by crowds of people. I have done a lot of research online for ways to help him and among them I learned that an assistance dog can be a great way to help him cope with many things that trouble him because of his disorder and can also be his lifesaver as he 's in danger while he's in the street. The bad thing is that the assistance dog will costs us $10k which is why I think fundraising by support from others would be the only way to do this. If there's any way you can help Dylan accomplish this, would be greatly appreciated! I would let you know updates on how we're doing!
