Help for Filipino tuberculosis patient in Belfast
Organized by: Loralie Canale
Mr Pineda has been an employee of CF Sharp Crew for 18 years. He was aboard Thomson Spirit (of Louis Cruise Line) when he started feeling unwell. The ship docked at Belfast Harbour on the 10th May 2014. Mr Pineda started coughing out blood whilst on board and therefore the crew of the said liner arranged for a taxi to bring him to the hospital. He was later admitted as an inpatient in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast where he was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis. At present, Mr Pineda is confined in Ward 7A of The Royal whilst his treatment is underway. Providing for his family to compensate for his lost income has been quite challenging for those who have been helping him due to lack of resources. With adequate awareness, we may be able to help out a fellow human being who is desperately in need of our support during this difficulty. This man deserves our help. We may not know him personally but like most of us, he is a parent, a grandparent, a spouse and a friend. I implore you to look into your hearts to contribute for the improvement of his health and wellbeing. Your help, big or small will remove a chip on his shoulder. Should you wish to contact him to verify this story, his current number is 07418788614. Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity. Kindly pass this onto anyone who may be willing to help.
