TRINITY CENTER WALNUT CREEK via Crowdrise

BENEFITING: TRINITY CENTER WALNUT CREEK
EVENT DATE: Sep 30, 2014
Last week, Haley was hit by a car. Onlookers took her to the Animal Shelter where she received minimal medical care. She could not walk on her back right leg. Shelter staff put a temporary cast on her leg until her owner could be located. Haley is homeless. Haley's owner, Jason, is homeless. Seeking help for Haley, Jason contacted Trinity Center in Walnut Creek, a shelter for homeless, who helped secure veterinary care for Haley. X-rays showed that Haley's right back leg was shattered in two places. She needs treatment and care for the next 8-10 weeks as she heals. Haley is getting new X-rays and a fresh cast every 2 weeks to help her leg. This treatment option was safer than having surgery to amputate her leg since it is a pretty bad break. Although Haley is getting the best care and love from her vet, she is still in a lot of pain. Visits from her owner Jason, cheer her up and make her feel a bit better.
We seek $1500 to cover the costs for treatment, board and care provided by Alpine Veternary Hospital, Animal Shelter service fees and transportation for Jason to visit Haley as she recovers.
