2016 SAHARA'S - CANINE Bladder Cancer
Organized by: Karen Hulmes
SAHARA'S THIRD CHEMO TREATMENT
March 05, 2016
Recently, though little Sahara has been slowly losing weight and just a week ago I discovered some urine in her blood. I immediately took her to my veterinarian and just today have been delivered the sad news that she has bladder cancer. I'm devastated but am told it's hopeful because the tumor within her bladder is operable and in a "good place".
The surgery was be performed by Werner Animal Hospital in Morris Plains, NJ (Dr. Brown and Dr. Werner) and the bills currently are around $3,000.00. Unfortunately the tumor was wrapped around the bladder and could not be removed so Chemotherapy is needed. Another $3,200.00 will be needed. The Oncologist is Dr. Alsarraf at Animal Emergency and Referral Services in Fairfield, NJ) . It is not like me to ask for favors but this little girl has been here for me through my own battle with Lyme disease and she is truly my best friend.
Sahara has been accepted into the following trial for Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the bladder. This way she will be helping other dogs in the long run to hopefully successfully fight Canine Bladder Cancer.

I am willing to provide bills or test results to anyone would like them. Please help me if you can to help this little dog who has meant the world to me.
Thank you and please keep ME in your prayers.
