My dad, Gene McCants, contracted polio when he was 18 months old. He has been using crutches or a leg brace on one leg ever since. He is now nearing age 70. In recent years his "good leg" and really his whole body have gotten weaker and more painful due to post-polio syndrome and arthritis. It's gotten to the point where Dad can hardly walk. He has a wheelchair but he can't use it in his vehicle or his home. He has been largely house bound and missing out on a lot of life's simple pleasures. If you've ever met my dad, you know he ain't one for just sitting around the house all day! So we want to do whatever we can to get him back out there enjoying life and getting around as easily as possible! We, Gene's family, are asking for your help to get him a mobility van which he can drive while seated in his wheelchair.
Please give whatever amount you can - ALL gifts are welcome and appreciated!
THANK YOU for your support!
