Six years ago I was diagnosed with an incurable kidney disease, glomular membrotic nephritis, and have been on dialysis for years now, awaiting a kidney transplant. Due to massive medical bills my credit rating is too low to get a conventional mortgage and I bought a house on contract for deed. I now have $40,000 in equity in the house, but the person who owns the contract for deed has exercised a technicality in the contract to try to repossess the house.
I am not one to ask for help from friends, let alone strangers, but I am choosing to set aside my pride and make my plight public in the hope that I can save my house. The owner of the contract for deed wants to keep the $40,000 he has already got from me, take back the house, then make an additional $50,000 off of reselling it. With your help, I want to keep that from happening. I am not looking for a handout here. I have paid all my medical bills, and have been working hard to rebuild my credit rating so in a couple of years, with the progress I have made, my credit rating will be at a point that I can qualify for a conventional mortgage. At that point I intend to pay back anyone who is willing to help me at this current time of crisis.
I have been trying to find an investor willing to do another contract for deed to get me out of this current situation, and any other possible option, to no avail, so this is my last hope. If you choose to donate anonymously, when I can qualify for conventional financing I will give the equivalent amount back to charity.
I neeed to pay off the balance of the contract for deed which is $173,000. I know, a lot of money. I'd prefer to find an investor able and willing to do another contract for deed. Another option is if there are people willing to lend me a portion of the money that I can pay back in installments until I can qualify for a mortgage, then will pay off the balance. That plus whatever donations I get could be put together into a total package to save my home.
I thank you in advance for your support, and I request you pass this along to anyone you think might be willing to help. My house is not extravagant by any means, but it is my home, I've worked so hard to get this far, and it would be devastating to lose it.
My deadline to come up with the funds is September 30th at 3pm. SInce it can take several days for donations to end up in my account, please donate sooner than later, Thanks, for reading, and I so appreciate your support.
