Hieu Stone Rebuilt!
August 12, 2016
EVENT DATE Dec 19, 2015
Hi, my name is Cheryl, and I LOVE to travel. I recently travelled to Vietnam and it immediately caught my heart. When travelling I met and stayed with a wonderful family, the Da's, in Sapa Valley Vietnam. They did not know me but still opened their home to me and treated me as a loved family member while I stayed with them for four days. I learned about Sapa Valley, the family's way of life, and about the production and business of creating stone artistry. Hieu owns his own shop where he creates his own beautiful stone shop!
Four weeks after I left the Da's beautiful home and shop, I was alerted that both the Da's home and shop completely flooded during a natural disaster that hit the Sapa region. The family had to move locations and cannot live in their home because it is so badly damaged. Additionally, the shop is no longer open, as the shop and family's home were one in the same.
The Da's are in great need of money for rebuilding their home and business. Having their home and shop is critical to their family of four's comfort and independence. If you want to directly impact the lives of the Da's, a beautiful and completely deserving family please donate today. Every amount will help!
Stay tuned for another event to celebrate the Da family! With yummy food, fun company and Vietnamese everything! December 2015!!! :-)
