Help house Vietnam Vet and 4 pomeranians
Organized by: Lisa Ayers
Update - Wesley is in housing - Wesley is a 69 year old Vietnam vet who is handicapped and has 4 older Pomeranians that are his family. The four little dogs are his life and he doesn't want to give them up for housing. Casper and Wendy are 17 yrs old. Tacky and Smokey are 16. Tacky has a heart condition and is blind. Smokey has a tumor on the rear leg that ideally would be removed. Casper is deaf. The dogs are the only family he has that love him unconditionally and he won't go to housing that won't accept his dogs. He is currently sleeping in his car while the dogs are staying at a local veterinarian who does homeless outreach. Without help for deposits it could be months before they can be together again. It is breaking his heart to be separated from them already. He was recently evicted for turning in his landlord for housing violations. He can make the monthly rent but needs funds to pay for deposits for the new place as well as vet care for his 4 dogs. He is currently out of funds due to his car breaking down and some personal medical issues. He needs $350 for pet deposit, $300 for utility deposit , a month's rent deposit as well as funds for vet bills and $800 for car repairs. Any funds raised would go to Wesley to help him.
