BENEFITING: HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE OZARKS INC
EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2013
On Thursday, December 26, 2013, we received a call about a 12 week old Papillon who had been hit by a car, had extensive injuries and an owner had not claimed him. We immediately picked him up and took him to Best Friends Animal Hospital where he will require at least 8 weeks of intensive treatment for his severe injuries; which include degloving injuries to three legs, luxation/subluxation of the left front antebrachiocarpal joint. Prewitt (brave little one), as we have named him, will most likely have to have his left front leg amputated. It is so amazing how incredibly sweet Prewitt is despite the enormous amount of pain he is in. He wags his tail and gives kisses freely. He wants to be petted and there is not a doubt in your mind when you stop petting him that he doesn't want you to leave his side. This little guy will make someone a fantastic companion when he is healed and cleared to be adopted. Prewitt's medical costs will be far exceed what we normally spend and will put a strain on our budget, we are asking for special donations for his care. Please help us help Prewitt.
