Helping an ambitious teenager succeed
Organized by: Margie Fields
I need a little help. My granddaughter lost her mother when she was two years of age. She lost her father when she was ten years of age. I am her 68 year old paternal grandmother and I have taken care of her since she was two. She is thirteen and she has not allowed herself to be depressed or pitied, instead she is making A's and B's in school, perfect attendance, in sports, band and drill team. She just made freshman cheer for 2016/17. She also was nominated by one of her teachers to attend a session STEM(Science, technology, engineering, math) at the University of Texas at Dallas in June this summer. The tuition is $2198. I have paid the deposit but I need some assistance paying the remainder and the 950 for cheer. I would also like to mention that she is very active in church. I want her to be able to involve herself in activities that will ensure her a great future but right now financially it is a struggle. I am determined to do whatever I can to make sure she is successful. God bless you always.
