HELP ANDY PAY FOR HER LIFE-SAVING TREATMENT IN MEXICO
Organized by: Susana Richards
Andy, who has liver cancer, has endured 18 months of chemotherapy and medical treatment at a public Mexican hospital (i.e., IMSS). In June the doctor told her that there was nothing more to be done and she was sent home. This amazing young woman could no longer work, but has been volunteering to care for young orphaned children who live in orphanages for poor and blind children.
She therefore got another opinion at a private hospital and was advised that surgery is an option. She was also told that the surgery should have been done first, followed by chemotherapy and medical treatment. Her access to medical services from the IMSS hospital have now been taken away, just because she got a second opinion from a private hospital.
Her liver is 40% healthy, which is enough to keep her alive. Now Andy's mom is moving mountains to find CAD$25,000 (MEX$350,000) in order to pay for a life-saving surgery at the private hospital. Please help pay for Andy’s life-saving surgical, medical, and living expenses of CAD$35,000 (MEX$500,000) by donating today.
