Helping Hand for Carmen
Organized by: Keith Fortier
A dear friend of ours, Carmen Bennett, needs our help. She recently learned that she's being forced to vacate her home of 12 years by court order and now has until September 10th to find a new place to live. Living on limited SSI Income, she has little resources to make this difficult transition. We're hoping to raise $2000 to help with first/last month's rent, moving expenses and household furnishings that she's having to leave behind in the settlement. Carmen is a disabled US Army veteran and a recent victim of domestic abuse. She has no family nearby and friends help as they are able, but are limited in their ability and financial resources themselves. Her health is in decline, is on oxygen and has a service dog to that is very dear to her. She's lost her caregiver and access to proper medical care as her Health Insurance is no longer paying. We are asking for any help for Carmen to help get her settled into her new home and begin to find a way to enjoy the rest of her live without financial struggle. Thank you for your generosity in prayer, donations or for sharing this story with your network. God bless.
