BENEFITING: Cat Adoption and Rescue Efforts, Inc.
Eight-week-old Hoppy has had a rough start in life. His mother was a stray, and he was born homeless in a warehouse. When he was only four or five weeks old, a furniture crate fell on top of him and crushed his leg, mangling it beyond repair. Luckily for him, Hoppy was taken in to foster care and will never again have to worry about being injured again. However, the nerves in the leg have been damaged so extensively that he has lost all use of the leg. This means that the injured leg has to be amputated so that he can strengthen his other legs and learn to walk normally on three legs. Two vets will work in tandem to remove the leg, and it will be a long and complicated surgery because he is so young. Hoppy's fighting spirit and his desire to run and play like a normal kitten have amazed everyone that's met him, from the foster volunteers of CARE to the veterinary staff that's taking care of him. So far, the cost of his surgery is at $1500. Please make a donation to help Hoppy get his balance back. Thank you.
CARE is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit. All donations raised beyond the cost of Hoppy's care will go to help other foster kittens in our system.
