Today little Hunter has had his breathing tube reinserted. He is having a pick line inserted to his heart to give him his medicine more easily and See More

Hunter James Deschaine was born on Saturday, April 23rd at 25 weeks in Lewiston, Maine to his parents Amanda & Jon Deschaine . Weighing a teeny tiny 1 pound 12 ounces and 12 1/4 inches long, he was transferred to the NICU at Maine Med in Portland, ME. As you can imagine, Hunters parents are overwhelmed with seeing their son struggle to make it outside of the womb before his time. Along with this heartache, Amanda and Jon are financially strapped with the costs to travel back and forth from their home to Maine Medical Center in Portland. This donation page is to help them with funds for gas, tolls and food in hopes to make this time even a little less stressful on their family. Whereas I am here in Texas, it is so very important to me to help her any way I can from halfway across the US. With support from friends, family and strangers alike, I know we can make a difference! The last thing you should have to worry about when you have a sick child, it how to get to them. Please help us help them by making this moment in their lives not one that was any more difficult than it already has to be. We are also accepting donations for any and all baby items although at this moment in time, our focus in on helping them financially. Currently they have a crib, changing table and baby bathtub. Hunter will not be going home for awhile, but the more these parents have ready at home for their new son, the easier it will be to get through this one day at a time. Open up your heart and please take a moment out of your day to help my cousin and her family in their time of need. We have all at one time or another either been in a similar situation or known someone who has. Let's work together to make it so one less family has to struggle during this time of crisis. Let's get 'Helping Hunter Home' so his parents can visit frequently and help him gain the strength to soon come home to his family <3 Thank you so very much for your support!!!
