Our agency is raising funds to provide clothing and food to low-income families in need, this upcoming holiday season. The Johnson County Christmas Bureau works to increase awareness and understanding of those living in poverty in the Johnson County, Kansas area.
The Johnson County Christmas Bureau assists locals in our community that are in need of basic necessities such as food and clothing. With the help of volunteers, the organization is able to serve 10,000- 20,000 low-income neighbors each year. Their motto is to give neighbors an outlet to help neighbors. One important resource that the organization offers is their Holiday Shop where each neighbor can pick out groceries, clothing, books and holiday gifts. “Many low-income families in our community are struggling to put food on their tables each and every day and we want to do our best to make sure that this holiday season is special for those families.”
Krystal, Rachelle and Norman of the Park Agencies, were able to assist in the organization’s Holiday Shop recently. They helped to pack and unpack boxes for holiday gift items in preparation for the holiday season. All 4 office locations, also had the pleasure of filling baskets to donate to 22 nursing homes in Johnson County. Funds raised throughout this campaign will help in supporting more local families in need during the holiday season. Join us!
