ABOUT US: [A great harvest, one full belly and a smile at a time]
Jola is a organization that helps farmers in Africa with the SolPod; a device that dehydrates food over 100 times faster than traditional techniques.
a vast majority of farmers only depend on their harvest to feed their families but lose 50% of what their produce in food spoilage. Their traditional technique (smoke house) is long and deleterious as they inhale smoke for hours; furthermore they smoke removes all the nutritional values of nutriments.
The SoldPod gives them 20 times more shelf life, retain the nutritional values of their fruit and meat product with virtual no maintenance and electronics required.
We did a market test working with over 100 farmers already and are in our launch phase, we will us the funds to produce more unit. Our partner (the main farmers' union in Cameron with a network of over 20000 farmers works exclusively with us) gave us very positive feedback on the device and asked us to come with more.
