Helping Declan & Wynn Find Their Voice
Organized by: Brooke Cormier
Declan and Wynn are two toddlers who have bright, beautiful souls with hearty laughs that make you smile. Their little voices create the most wonderful sounds but neither of them currently posses the ability to speak their needs, wishes or wants or even say they love you. Autism has stolen their ability to sense their environments like a normal little child. Autism has stolen their ability to make their mouth move and voice speak their thoughts. Autism has made nearly all food repulsive and terrifying. Autism makes it challenging for them to learn and grown in every way possible. Autism makes them wander off into woods, out into traffic and away from us without any ability to call out for help. These two little ones work so incredibly hard all day long (with me, and a team of therapists) to learn to how do things that the vast majority of toddlers learn and do without our effort or thought. Please help us take back their lives from Autism and find their voices. With your support we can provide them with a home environment that is adapted for their safety and unique learning needs, copays to help us cover the intensive and overwhelming costs of OT, Speech and ABA therapy they both need weekly. Help me hear "I love you mommy" from the beautiful little voices of my babies. Help us grow these two little ones so that they become aware of all that they are capable of and empower them to lead independent and happy lives.
