Helping Fight Kids Cancer - Helping Kids Fight Cancer
That's our mission, our goal, our reason for being.
When you lose a child to cancer, everything in your life changes. Grief and sorrow beyond imagining. And yet, for us, there was a light... a reason to carry on. Max, who passed at age 7, lived everyday of his short life to the fullest, and left us with hope. Hope, that through our work raising awareness and funding for research and clinical trials for kids cancers, there will be an end to kids suffering harsh treatments and not being able to be a kid.
100% of the money you donate to our cause will go to research and clinical trials for kids fighting cancer - right now.
If you care to read a little more... Max'a Ring of Fire came to be following the death of a lovely little boy, Max, who battled cancer for four of his short 7 years here on earth.
Every year, all year long, we raise money to help fight kid's cancer. Why? Let's put kid's cancers into perspective: 40 years ago kids with leukemia were faced with no options. The chance of survival was only 10-30%. Today children with leukemia are looking at just the opposite – a 90% survival rate.
How did this come about? Awareness + Money + Research.
Our kids with childhood cancers are at the door right now looking for the same recognition and support. When Max passed away, we (his family) vowed to stay in this fight so that other families - one day - will not have to face the sorrow and grief of losing a child to cancer.
There is hope and we fund it through research for relevant, low toxicity clinical trials that are helping kids right now. The research we support is available to patients at over 25 children's hospitals across the U.S.
Give. We are a 100% volunteer run organization and 100% of the money we raise goes to research.
