Helping Hands For Hayward
Organized by: Joseph Marino
Bonefish Grill is a family, and we always take care of our own. This family is always here for advice, encouragement and to lend a helping hand. We are in this together, if one fails, we all fail. If one succeeds, we all succeed. That is how a family works. The Bonefish Way states: “If we take care of our people, Bonefish Grill will take care of itself.” These are not just words; it is our way of life… So I ask you to take some time and read about one of our family members who needs our help.
Hayward Parker has worked for South Windsor CT Bonefish Grill for the past two and half years. He began his career as dishwasher. Through his hard work, his passion, and his dedication, Hayward became an Assistant Culinary Manager and did many new store openings where he mentored and helped develop many of our Bonefish Grill Anglers.
December 26th 2015 Hayward Parker tragically died in car accident. Hayward left behind his nine beautiful children, Marquise Woods - 18 years old, Keyshawn Woods - 16 years old Asiaona Parker, 15 years old Michael Parker, 13 years old, Jahiem Parker , 12 years old Nevaeh Parker, 9 years old Destiny Parker, 7 years old Hayward Parker Jr, 6 years old and Jacob Parker, 3 years old. Hayward was a great man, father, son and brother. He loved life and his family meant the world to him. He worked extremely hard to provide for his children and to be the best role model that he could. Outside of Bonefish Grill, he spent most of his time with his family. He had many friends but home was where his heart was. He loved football and basketball. Every morning he watched ESPN's First Take. He was very interested in real estate. The night of the accident he spent time telling his family that his goal was to own many properties. His passion was cooking and helping other achieve their goals.. He loved Bonefish Grill as it opened up so many doors and opportunities. He was loved by every single person that knew him. He didn't have an enemy in this world.
I am asking all of you to find it in your hearts to help Hayward’s family when they need us the most. Any donation of any value would be of great help. Remember, Bonefish Grill is not just a restaurant or a job, it’s a family and when a family member needs our help, we do whatever we can to help them. It’s time to help our family, they need our help.
