Helping homeless unwanted dogs scheduled to die
Organized by: Amanda Richmond
Hoping Fur a Home is a 501c3 dog rescue. We have been saving death row dogs since juLy of 2015. In this short amount of time we have rescued, vetted, and successfully placed over 300 dogs into their adoptive homes. We have personally invested thousands of dollars into their medical care. Some require minimal care while other require a substantial amount. The latest case was a young dog who was hit by a car and then shot the owner refused to help the dog so we took him in and he needed his whole femur reconstructed. He is now in physical therapy trying to regain nerve control for that leg. Another dog was strangled with a piece of wire around her neck because she pottied on the carpet. We have mounds of dogs that need our help but unfortunately don't have the funds to help them all. We are seeking funds to start a new branch of our rescue called Project Street Dog. Our goal is to help injured and sick street dogs roaming Houston, TX and relocate them to WI where they will be placed in forever homes with lovely families.
