BENEFITING: CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITYS HOMELESS
EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2015
I recently expressed my interest in helping Syrian refugees, to which people responded, "What about the homeless here in America." I've heard that argument many times and have seen it raised across social media. So I challenge all of you to "put your money where your mouth is," so to speak. I've created this fundraiser, which will last until the end of the year, asking all of you to donate to the Charitable Assistance to Community's Homeless (CATCH), a homeless program in Idaho (see below for more information). And, if you feel so inclined, I have also set up a fundraising campaign for Doctors without Borders to help the Syrian refugees, because in America, we all have enough to help everyone regardless of their country of origin. Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless (CATCH) helps families with children get back on their feet. By providing housing first, then working with families to address their challenges, CATCH offers a new beginning which leads to self sufficiency in over 85% of participating families. Founded in 2010, CATCH, Inc. brings together regional government, congregations of faith, local businesses, and other charitable organizations for one purpose: housing homeless families.
