Helping Noah communicate again.
Organized by: Jeffrey Day
Last year, through donations and local fundraising efforts, a young woman secured an iPad and software that allowed Noah, for the first time in his 14 years, to communicate with his family and teachers. It had a tremendous impact on his mental health in that it virtually eliminated the frustration he dealt with due to his inability to communicate. Recently his iPad was damaged at his school and his family doesn't have the means to pay to have the iPad fixed. We already have the labor cost of doing the repair being donated by a local repair shop but we are looking to help Noah and his family with the cost of parts. We had considered the purchase of a new iPad but the specialized software can not be transferred to a new device and would have to be re-purchased for roughly $400 so repairing the device that already has the software installed in more cost efficient.
