I want to move to India because one day I hope to help build schools that are state-sponsored but still high quality. Right now, public education in India does not teach critical thinking skills or emphasize the arts. In many schools, your 'electives' are decided for you (because there is nothing to choose from) and usually include things like drawing, sewing and cooking. People who go to state-sponsored schools rarely have the opportunity to be exposed to music and other performing arts of India. I want to change that. But to bring about this change, I will need to live in India and understand the system there. I am hoping to find a job once I go there. However, I need 3000 to pay for the airfare and a few months expenses, while I am setlling down in India. If anybody would consider helping me, I would appreciate the kindness. Thank you. (By the way, I am of Indian origin and am about to get my PIO card which will make me eligible to work in India; I am a US citizen)
I am community activist, I have a JD degree and my hope is one day to use both my contacts within India and in US to help bring good education to those who can only afford public education in India.
