Help my friend Jangbu Sherpa rebuild his home in Nepal
Organized by: Polly Jones
In 2012, my friend Jangbu Sherpa helped me fulfill my dream to hike 18,000 feet to the base camp of Mount Everest. His humor, kindness, and calm nature helped me through the most physically and mentally challenging experience of my life, and for that I will be forever grateful. Unfortunately, Jangbu is among the hundreds of thousands of people left homeless after the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in April. He and his family and friends are living in tents while they figure out how to rebuild, which in the rough terrain of the Himalayas is very difficult and expensive. The lack of tourism in Nepal right now also means no income for Everest guides, making rebuilding that much more challenging. Please help me raise money by donating what you can to this cause or simply sharing this post.
