Bless you for even reading this, for being a part of fundraising. I hope you never experience anything so tragic as finding out, out of no where, that your mother or father could be slipping away as we speak. My mom Karen, just found found out two days ago that she has cancer. Again. A different kind this time. She needs help, so I'm reaching out. My mom went through cancer before, and was in remission for a long while. Yesterday I found out that it's back. But in a different spot, and worse. This is what my mom posted in our family website to alert my extended family, today: "I wanted to let you all know that my cancer is back. I spent the last two days in the hospital. It turns out, that I have five vertebrae with lesions. My C3 has a compressed fracture. My C4-7 are also involved with "hot" lesions and fractures. I will be going in within the next few days for a PET scan of my whole body to get a better picture of what we're dealing with. I'll keep you posted. Prayers are appreciated. ♥" My parents will struggle to afford all of the treatment. At this point, for me, reaching out is just asking for a miracle. I don't know if this will even work. I pray we get a few donations at least.
