EVENT DATE: Jan 02, 2012
This is Kaycee. He is 16 years old and lives in Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa. He is currently a first year college student. In December 2011, Kaycee returned home to spend Christmas with his family. On new years eve December 31, 2011 Kaycee cleaned around the compound of his home. Many leaves had fallen into the compound, so Kaycee gathered them together in a pile and proceeded to pour gasoline on them to burn. He retreived a candle and a set of matches to do so. As he lit the candle and attempted to light the leaves, he was inflamed and suffered second degree burns. He was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted for treatment. Kaycee was originally supposed to go back to school January 2, 2012 but was unable to due to his condition. Currently he is on admission to stay in the hospital for 2-3 weeks. His treatment for his wounds, burns and hospital stay will add up to about 1 million naira equivalent to $7,000. Every little donations counts from $1 to $100 anything is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
