Help Me Bury My 2 Year Old Daughter
Organized by: Kierra Quinones
Hello, my name is Kierra. I had a beautiful 2 year old named Adelina. She was my world - is my world. Adelina was a curious girl, very friendly. She left a mark on anyone who had met her. From the sales women in DSW, watching as she would strut down the aisle in 5 inch pumps, to the chef at Tomcat Cafe, laughing as Adelina would yell "Thank you!" to him across the restaurant twenty times in a row. She was such a loving, caring baby who never liked to see someone cry, friend or stranger. Her best friend and (in a way) step-brother, also 2 years old, would sometimes throw fits. Adelina would try her hardest to make him stop crying. She would grab his blankie and his juice, bring them to him. Give him kisses, hugs. When all else failed, she yelled "Stop! Stoooop!". I know that she would have grown up to be the same caring person to go out of her way to keep anybody from being sad. Adelina has passed away on Sunday July 13th, 2014. When arranging her funeral services I was confident of my ability to pay for the costs. My job at Starbucks does offer Life Insurance for myself or a dependant and I was sure that it would cover everything. However today I learned that because of my lack of decent hours, those insurance benefits have been retracted. Adelina's funeral will be held on Tuesday July 22nd, 2014 and I'm at the end of my rope - I just do not know what to do. My family is not willing to assist in her funeral costs, however I do have friends who are. They are my age, either 20 or in their early 20's. As their help is appreciated, it is simply not enough, as you can imagine a 20 year old usually is not capable of donating hundreds of dollars in a three day period. I am putting my pride aside and reaching out for help - from anybody. Please help. All donations will go to funeral and burial costs. Thank you.
