THE STORY:

My name is Araceli Herrera, and you all know me. I work with domestic workers the most marginalized workers in San Antonio. Along with Rosa and Maria Victoria, I identify with the mothers and children unjustly being detained in the family detention facilities in Karnes and Dilley here in Texas. This issue also affects a great number of the women we work with. We will have the opportunity to take the message of the suffering of these women and children to Pope Francis during his visit to Washington DC. Please help us get there with any funds you can. I know that you would do the pilgrimage if you could, do the next best thing by helping Rosa, Maria Victoria and me get there. We will use the funds to pay for our flight to the starting point of the pilgrimage, the York Detention Center in Pennsylvania. We will also use the funds to pay for our overnight stays and food during the event. Please help with what you can.
