HELP me get to NYC for 9/11 observances/visit sick friend!
Organized by: Sarah Hart
Hi, My name is Sarah and my life mission is that every year since 9/11, I make a pilgrimage to NY's Ground Zero for the memorial observances, to pay respect to those lost that fateful day. I've been able to get out there every year until this year when due to unemployment/just plain bad timing/circumstances, I haven't been able to gather enough funds to get my plane ticket yet. And ironically, now I've just learned that my dear elderly friend there is very ill and it's imperative that I visit her asap. She has no one else. Thankfully, there are still some cheap flights left out there. But time is quickly running out! My need is very modest, but VERY urgent!!! I'm known as the only civilian (non-9/11 family member) to return each year and be there "on the day" to observe. I lost many people I knew through a business I was in at the time. I've been there every year to hear their names called and visit them at the 9/11 Memorial, as well as pay respects to the rest. PLEASE help me get there again this year to continue this solemn and VERY important tradition! Be a part of a significant history. Even though I'm known for this, I'm not a publicity seeker. I'm just someone who goes on "that day" to witness and remember, for all. I go for YOU. Won't you please help me? The amount will cover a cheap plane ticket and metro pass, and that's it. It's all I really need. I just need to GET THERE. THANK YOU for any help you can provide!
