HELP NEPAL BOUNCE BACK FROM THE DEADLY EARTHQUAKE
Organized by: Minot ND
A powerful earthquake shook Nepal on Saturday (April 25th) near its capital, Kathmandu, killing more than 6,000 people, flattening sections of the city’s historic center, and trapping dozens of sightseers in a 200-foot watchtower that came crashing down into a pile of bricks. As officials in Nepal faced the devastation on Sunday morning, they said that most of the deaths occurred in Kathmandu and the surrounding valley, and that more than 10,000 people had been injured. But the quake touched a vast expanse of the subcontinent. It set off avalanches around Mount Everest, where at least 18 climbers died. The impact and damage from this disaster is going up exponentially.
"The UN estimates that eight million people in 39 districts have been affected by the 7.8-magnitude quake - more than a quarter of the population."
This fund raising intiative is started by a group of Nepalese people who are living and working in Minot, ND. Nepal is going through very tough times and we would like to help by collecting donations because at this time everything counts and matters significantly. We would make sure that all these collected donations would go back to needy people in Nepal and will try our best to make all these process as transparent as possible.
Thank you in advance for all your help.
