Help Open a Daycare
Organized by: Willow Alecsandri
I live in an area where childcare is expensive. It's so expensive that my sister in law chose to miss days of work constantly and eventually dropped out of college, because she couldn't find affordable care for her two children when they were younger. She has currently decided to watch a little girl because her father can't afford day care for her any longer. The money would go towards equipment like a swing set and other outdoor play equipment, along with child furniture, colouring and reading books, healthy foods for meal time and snack time, as well as safety equipment like outlet covers, safety gates, and privacy locks for door knobs. My hope for this is to open a day care in my area that doesn't cost lower income families an arm and a leg to provide a safe and healthy environment while they work during the day to provide for them. Parents shouldn't have to spend upwards of $700 a month just to be sure that their children will be in a safe place while they're aware. I hope to open the daycare by the end of 2016, if not sooner. Every donation matters, no matter how big or small. If you can't donate, then please share my campaign to help get the word out. I would be so grateful for every bit of help and it would be wonderful to know that others support what I'm trying to do.
