BENEFITING: DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS USA INC
The International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention guarantee all people the right to health care and provide sanctions to health care workers helping in war. However, these documents are being violated and the lives of health care workers are at risk. Hospitals are being bombed and health care workers are being tortured, killed, and kidnapped. This is happening in Syria, Afghanistan, Colombia, South Sudan, Central African Republic, and Yemen. These countries are being affected by the targeting of health care facilities and health care workers. We need to support health care workers as they help many innocent people and soldiers get health care and recover from major injuries. Without health care workers, there would be more deaths and injuries on the battlefield.
