BENEFITING: FLORIDA GREAT PYRENEES CLUB INC
Polar is a magnificent 4 year old Great Pyrenees dog. Suffering with Hip Dysplasia, he endures severe, chronic pain from arthritic joint deterioration and walks with a pitiful limp. Otherwise very healthy, Polar is 4 years old. He is stoic and won't usually complain, but it is heartbreaking to hear this big guy cry in pain.
The prospect of lifelong medical care for a large dog makes it difficult to permanently place even this amazing, young boy. Recently rescued from a kill shelter for the SECOND time in just 6 months, he is the sweetest, gentlest dog we've ever known. But he is in constant pain.
Meds help, but long-term use will cause permanent damage to his kidneys and will surely reduce his life expectancy. Hip surgery will cost $10,000. However, it will restore Polar to normal health with a full, PAIN-FREE life expectancy, and he would become highly adoptable. Polar is a magnificent dog and deserves to live a normal, healthy life, free of pain. He will be an exceptional companion for one VERY LUCKY family.
DOUBLE YOUR MONEY! DOUBLE YOUR MONEY!
A generous benefactor has pledged the first $2,500 and will match all donations for Polar's medical care - dollar for dollar!... so all we have to raise is $3,750. Every little bit helps, so please give as generously as you can. Please help us make him well so that he can find his furever family?
