I have been given an amazing opportunity to participate in the first-ever Jewish national young professionals service trip to Ethiopia with American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). This Inside Ethiopia trip would be an extraordinary chance for me to serve in JDC medical clinics and nutritional programs, and learn about global public health issues, such as water contamination, diseases resulting from malnutrition, and community development, all within a Jewish context. JDC chose to accept me into this competitive program because they believe that I have the potential to bring my experience back to my community in the USA. I intend to apply my experience in Ethiopia to my graduate school education as I study Global Health, as well as my professional work at the Institute of Medicine.
I am currently fundraising to enable my participation in this program. Please join me in my efforts to learn about global health challenges first-hand and promote the health of individuals and communities around the world!
You can send a check written to JDC to: 1824 Belmont Road, NW, #21, Washington, DC 20009
or you can make a deposit to my fundraiser account via paypal.
