Help Raise Funds to Help Military Mom Become Lawyer
Organized by: Nancy Baca
Being involved with the military and witnessing injuries, PTSD and rampant depression, and poverty among soldiers and family members, Nancy wants to become an advocate for other military families and the soldiers. Many soldiers despite USERRA laws are not protected from losing their jobs or being hired due to the frequent deployments and required moves every 2-3 years. Working in the employment law field as a paralegal she has been involved with helping soldiers get proper settlements for wrongful terminations and hopes to continue advocating for soldiers and their families as a lawyer. She needs your help to make this a reality. With 4 children and one salary, the Post GI bill from her husband is not enough to cover 4 children's college tuition and hers. Military spouses are faced with raising their children alone with the frequent deployments, help this spouse make a difference by allowing her to become a voice to the often nameless heroes - the military soldiers, their wives and children.
