BENEFITING: Saha Global
EVENT DATE: May 26, 2015
My name is Richie Davis and I am a graduate student at George Washington University studying International Education with a focus on gender and rural education.
I've had the great fortune of being selected to take part in a fellowship this summer offered by Saha Global. I'll be partnering with and empowering women in rural northern Ghana by providing them with the tools necessary to set up their own water filtration businesses. In a region where half of the population lacks access to clean drinking water, these will not only serve the community health-wise but also provide sustainable sources of revenue for years to come. As a mark of Saha's success, all 74 of the previously launched water businesses are still running today.
I have the opportunity to really make a difference but there's no way I can do it without your help! Any money raised will go directly to the initial costs of the water filtration materials as well as the travel expenses needed to get there.
Every single penny counts! Anything you are willing and able to contribute is greatly appreciated.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
